Common questions
Honest, judgment-free answers to what people actually ask.
Do Muslims worship a different God?
No — “Allah” is just the Arabic word for “God,” the same God worshipped by Jews and Christians: the God of Abraham.
Is Islam about peace?
The word “Islam” shares a root with salaam, meaning peace. Like any faith, it’s lived by over a billion ordinary people trying to do good.
Why do some women cover?
Many Muslim women choose to wear a headscarf (hijab) as an act of faith and modesty. It’s a personal choice — not all Muslim women wear it.
Can I visit a mosque if I’m not Muslim?
Absolutely. Mosques welcome respectful visitors — dress modestly, and don’t be shy about asking questions.
